Best seafood I have had in years! Not greasy but light and fresh crust with no heavy oil or fish taste! Great variety on their menu including fried pickles, mushrooms, wings, seafood, and more.

Chili slaw dogs are amazing. BBQ sandwich and seafood platter were also wonderful.

We went and tried out The Half Shell Restaurant in Newnan. I was a little hesitant going in because it looks like a bar where people hang out. We walked in and sat down. They were really slow acknowledging us. It took at least 10 minutes before anyone spoke to us. Then it got a whole lot better. Melinda was our server and she took good care of us. The food was great! I’m always hesitant about getting seafood when I’m not at the beach. I tried their seafood even though we are no where near the beach. It was great! I got fried grouper and fried shrimp with fried okra and fries. You can’t beat that! I definitely recommend trying this restaurant. Watch out because their sign says they close at 8pm. Well they do! They started turning people away at 7:15pm. I that was a little too early.

A group of ladies from my church met for dinner here tonight. We arrived and a table was prepared and waiting for us. Madeline promptly took our orders and had food out to us pretty quickly. The food was very good and there was such a good variety of choices. Seafood, BBQ, hot dogs and more. Don’t bypass the gem in Newnan!

The reason for this visit was a memory that I shared with my mom and she loves the hot dogs, and also my family too.

Small town hidden treasure for the people who just love to eat! Ummm why didn’t I go to this place sooner?? I love seafood and oysters. Someone had recommended this place to me years ago and I’m not going to lie, the idea of a place that’s known for oysters and for hot dogs was strange to me so I didn’t go. The other day I had a strong craving for oysters and decided to give this place a try. OH MY GOSH! I’ve really been missing out! I love seafood, my husband hates it. They have a diverse menu and great prices. Everything we had was absolutely amazing! We will be back and we will bring friends!

I don't know when I have had a fried shrimp so succulent, the grouper fish was lightly seasoned we asked for it to be well done and it still wasn't overcooked, the coleslaw with sweet and tasty just like I like it, I don't eat fried oysters but I ate them tonight, they were slamming, the catfish was cooked well done just like I like it, nothing was over seasoned, if you know anything about shrimp you know big shrimp can be hard to cook because they'll turn rubbery, but when I tell you the shrimp where a little smaller than my thumb. Oh one more thing, Brunswick stew is not a favorite of mine at all , again I ate it tonight. It was the bomb. I recommend this restaurant to all near and far. I'm telling ya the shrimp are big!!!!!

The service and food was excellent. Our server was very knowledgeable . We had the fish tacos. The wait time for the food was minimal. We would definitely go back to eat there again.
